Oil below $34 a barrel!
Oil closed below $34 a barrel (on the NY Mercantile Exchange) on Friday 12/19 — lowest levels in ~5 years and nearly 80% off its highs from over the summer. The price of Brent North Sea oil, which is the most commonly referenced price, closed around $43/barrel. Amazing times!
