The End of Newspapers?

Christmas wisdom from Ben: No matter what they say, as long as people will be sitting down on toilets, there will be a need for newspapers!

  1. As a former newspaper journalist I can proudly say that my work graced the bottoms of birdcages for over a decade.

With the new economic depression upon us I can no longer get paid for my work. Sorry to say, as more Americans are forced to use recycled newspapers to wipe their bottoms (not being able to afford toilet paper) my award winning prose will NOT participate in that very personal bailout.

Newspapers are barely clinging to life, no pun intended.

  2. Lot’s of newspapers and magazines are barely hanging in there. I know playboy bleeds $5 million every year to continue to print their magazine. But not all magazines & newspapers are going under, talk to the Chicago Tribune.

What I think needs to be done to keep newspaper and magazine companies afloat is giving all users who purchase a hard copy of the media access to the “online archives” – think about if playboy did that…
